Meet the Team

Chie Togami, PhD

Dr. Chie Togami (she/her) is the director of the Environmental Justice Lab and an assistant professor of environmental studies at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Her research interests include critical approaches to environmental justice, social movements, water and air quality, and gender.

Cameron Wise

Cameron Wise is a sophomore in the environmental studies program at SUNY ESF. Through their involvement with the Environmental Justice Lab, they strive to increase information accessibility through GIS mapping. They are concentrating in policy, planning, and law.

Rayven Velez

Rayven Velez is a student in the Environmental Studies program with a concentration in policy and law at SUNY ESF. She is a native of the Bronx and gained her passion for environmental justice with her time doing environmental research on the Bronx river. She helps the team with website design and research. She hopes to reach a lot of people with this project and provide for the community of Syracuse city.

Siena Quinn

Siena Quinn is a third-year undergraduate student studying Environmental Science and Public Health. She believes that transparency surrounding efforts to reduce lead in our drinking water is an important public health measure. In her free time, she draws and paints, reads books, and spends time with her cat.

Sadie Ford

Sadie Ford is a research assistant for the Environmental Justice Lab. She is responsible for conducting a literature review on the lead service lines in Syracuse, New York.  She is currently attending SUNY ESF, on track to graduate in Spring 2027. She is majoring in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Law, and is minoring in Economics. 


Isaac Moore

Isaac Moore is a sophomore in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Policy, Planning, and Law, and is minoring in Environmental Writing and Rhetoric. For the Environmental Justice Lab, he is researching existing legislation on lead pipe abatement and assisting with website design. He is interested in environmental justice studies and grassroots organizing and hopes to work on community empowerment through the EJ Lab.
